Image of Africa in Yugoslavia
"Using imagology and postcolonial theory, Dr. Radonjić presented Africa in the Yugoslav imagination in the spirit of the research of Edward Said, Larry Wolfe, Maria Todorova, Cvetan Todorova and Filip Kurten, and thus made an important contribution to studies of imagology in Serbian historiography [...] Using a multidisciplinary approach, Dr. Radonjić made a significant contribution to the history of Yugoslav-African relations, the history of Yugoslavia, the history of socialism, the history of anticolonialism, and the global history of the Cold War. With a well structured text, equipped with various and relevant attachments, with a clear and well argued presentation and valid conclusion, dr. Radonjić wrote a book that, both through the choice of topic and the scientific approach and style, will attract not only academics, but also the wider public, interested in the image of Africa and the history of Yugoslavia."
